Born in Yilan of Taiwan in 1952, graduated as an M.A., Mr. Lin took the positions of Deputy General of Development & Research Institute, and Vice Minister of Rual Department, Rural Development & Research Center of the State Council; Director of the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) of Peking University, Vice Chairman of the ACFIC and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. He is currently Full-time Vice Chairman of the ACFIC, Vice Chairman of China Civilian Chamber of Commerce, Professor and Honorary Dean of National School of Development (NSD) at Peking University. Mr. Lin is a member of the 7th to 10th CPPCC National Committees, representative of the 11th NPC, and a Standing Committee member and Vice Director of the Economic Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

    With the “Prospects for U.S.-China strategic cooperation in next decade” as its theme, the forum dwells on the implications of U.S.-China cooperation from the strategic perspective of coping with global challenges and maintaining world peace.


  • The China Sciences and Humanities Forum

    Co-initiated in April 2003 by renowned Chinese scientist Mr. Lu Yongxiang and influential political strategist Zhen Bijian, China Sciences and Humanities Forum was jointly hosted by Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) and the Higher Education Press.
