Born in 1950, Mr. Ye consecutively assumed the positions of Secretary of the Guizhou Communist Youth League Committee (CYLC), Vice Head of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Deputy Secretary-General of the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau of the CCCPC UFWD, Director and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the State Administration of Religious Affairs, and First Vice President and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Central Institute of Socialism. He is currently member of the 12th National Committee of CPPCC, Vice Head of the CPPCC Committee of Learning and Cultural and Historical Data, representative of the 15th, 16th and 17th CPC National Congresses and alternative member of the 16th and 17th CPC Central Committee.
