Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Wolfgang Schüssel，former Chancellor of Austria on 16 May 2017.  The two sides exchanged views on issues such as “Belt and Road” ， economic  globalization.

Founder of the Boller-Wu Foundation Hans Boller-Wu and Amy Boller-Wu, former Editor-in-Chief of Neue Zürcher Zeitung Hugo Bütler, former Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Zhu Min, Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Zhou Hong, CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary General Wang Boyong , Vice President of the CIIDS Council and Executive Deputy Secretary General Feng Wei also attended the meeting.
