Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Mr. Li Qi, Chairman of SIRIIDS

Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Mr. Li Qi, Chairman of the Shanghai Institute for Reform, Innovation & Development Strategy (SIRIIDS), at CIIDS on August, 9th, 2018. Mr. Li Qi reported to Chairman Zheng the main work SIRIIDS undertook in 2017 and the progress the Institute has made in the 3rd Shanghai Forum on "Understanding the World", the Forum's eponymous Book Series, and other related research projects.

Chairman Zheng spoke highly of the work by SIRIIDS, adding that Shanghai plays a key role in advancing the development of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", and that the two Institutes should continue to deepen their cooperation in the years ahead.

CIIDS Vice Chairman and Secretary General Mr. Wang Boyong attended the meeting.

    On November 1~3, 2013, the 1st “Understanding China” Conference was held in Beijing, which was cosponsored by China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy (CIIDS), Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), and Berggruen Institute on Governance.


  • The 2nd U.S.-China Strategic Forum on Clean Energy Cooperation

    With the “Prospects for U.S.-China strategic cooperation in next decade” as its theme, the forum dwells on the implications of U.S.-China cooperation from the strategic perspective of coping with global challenges and maintaining world peace.


  • The China Sciences and Humanities Forum

    Co-initiated in April 2003 by renowned Chinese scientist Mr. Lu Yongxiang and influential political strategist Zhen Bijian, China Sciences and Humanities Forum was jointly hosted by Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) and the Higher Education Press.
