Zheng BijianDirector

Born in Fushun, Sichuan Province in 1932, joined the Communist Party of China (the “CPC”) in 1952 and completed his graduate studies in the Department of Political Economy at Renmin University of China (RUC) in 1954. Since the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, he has held the following positions successively: Head of the CCCPC Party Literature Research Office, Commissioner of the Research Section of the CCCPC Secretariat, Political Assistant to CPC General Secretary Hu Yaobang, Deputy Director-general of China Center for International Studies under the State Council, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (concurrently Director of the Research Institute for Marxism, Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought at the Academy), Executive Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of CPC, Executive Deputy President of the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC, and Chairman of the China Reform Forum.

Yu Youjun

Mr. Yu worked as a standing member and Director of the Publicity Department of the Guangdong CPC Committee, Deputy Secretary General of the Shenzhen CPC Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen, Deputy Secretary General of the Hunan CPC Committee and Deputy Executive Governor of Hunan, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanxi CPC Committee and Governor of Shanxi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Deputy Head of the State Council Office of the South-to-North Water Diversion Construction Commission, and member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.

Wu Shulin

Mr. Wu assumed Deputy Head, Head and Secretary General of the Publishing Bureau of the CPC Publicity Department, and Deputy Director of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP). He is currently Deputy Executive Director General of the Publishers Association of China, also a member of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

Liu Jianfei

Mr. Liu has served at the CPC Central Party School successively as Deputy Director of the Contemporary Socialism Research Office of the Institute of Marxism, Deputy Director, Director and Vice President of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, and is currently President of the Party School's Institute for International Strategic Studies.

Li Qi

Mr. Li was formerly Vice President of the CPC Party School, Deputy Director of the Research Office and Deputy Director of the CPC Publicity Department of Shanghai Municipal Committee. He is currently Leader of the Inspection Team and the Lecturer Group of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, Chairman of the Shanghai Institute for Reform, Innovation & Development Strategy, and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Public Administration Society.

Li Junru

Mr. Li was Associate President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), Director of the SASS Research Center of Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory, Deputy Director of the Theoretical Studies Bureau of the CCCPC Publicity Department, Deputy Director General of the CCCPC Party History Research Office, and Vice President of the CCCPC Party School. He is currently Executive President of the CITCPPCC Council and Vice President of the National Council of the China Society for Human Rights Studies. Mr. Li also sat on the 10th CPPCC National Committee and the 11th CPPCC Standing Committee.

Li Zhongjie

Mr. Li, former Deputy Director General of the CCCPC Party History Research Centre, is currently Executive Deputy President of the Chinese Society of History of the Communist Party of China and Deputy President of the CCCPC Party Literature Office, also a member of the 12th CPPCC National Committee.

Wu Yin

Born in Rudong, Jiangsu, in 1952, receiving in-service postgraduate education, M.A. in Engineering, Ph.D. in Management, senior economist, Mr. Wu took the offices of Deputy Director of the Distribution Department of the Ministry of Coal Industry, Deputy Director of Industry Administration Department of State Coal Industry Administration, Deputy Director (in Charge of coal) of Planning Department of State Commission for Economics and Trade, Deputy Director (in Charge of coal) and investigator of NDRC-NEA, Head of the Office of Inter-ministerial Coordination Group for Coal Mine Gas Hazards Prevention and Control, and Chief Engineer, Deputy Director and member of the Party Leadership Group of NEA.

Yang Jiemian

Mr. Yang was Vice President and President of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) and Vice President of China National Association For International Studies. He is currently Director of the SIIS Academic Committee, member of MFA Foreign Policy Advisory Group, Counselor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government and President of Shanghai Association for International Studies.

Zhang Hongli

Mr. Zhang, former Executive Director of Goldman Sachs (Asia), Chairman (China), President of Banking (Asia Pacific), Vice Chairman of Investment Banking (Asian branch) and President of Global Banking (Asia Pacific) of the Deutsche Bank, is currently Deputy Governor of ICBC. He is also a member of the 10th-12th CPPCC National Committees.

Fan Peng

Mr. Fan Peng was born in Huining, Gansu Province in August, 1959. Member of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Fan has successively served, among others, as President and Party Secretary of Gansu Academy of Social Sciences and Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Gansu CPC Committee. Mr. Fan is currently Executive Deputy President of the Party School of the Gansu CPC Committee where he also lectures as a professor. Mr. Fan is also a Policy-Making Consultation Expert of the Gansu CPC Committee and professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Lanzhou University and Northwest Normal University. Mr. Fan enjoys the State Council Special Allowance.

Zhou Hong

Ms. Zhou was Director of the Institute of European Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Vice President of China National Association for International Studies (CNAIS). She is currently Academic Member of the CASS, Deputy Chair of Division of International Studies, Chair of Chinese Association for European Studies (CNAIS). Ms. Zhou was also a deputy to the 15th CPC National Congress and the 12th NPC.

Hao Yeli

Ms. Hao, major general, was Director of a research institute and Vice Director General of a department under the PLA-GSD, and is currently a senior advisor of the China International Institute for Strategic Society.

Yu Keping

Former Deputy Director of the Central Compilation & Translation Bureau (CCTB) and a visiting professor at Duke University and Freie Universität Berlin, Mr. Yu is currently Honorary Director of the CCTB China Center for Comparative Politics and Economics and Dean of the School of Government of Peking University.

Yuan Peng

Mr. Yuan is Vice President of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Executive Director of the Chinese Association for American Studies (CAAS), Director of the U.S.-China People's Friendship Association (USCPFA) and Director of the China Reform Forum.

Xia Bin

Mr. Xia assumed the offices of Director of the Research Offices of Applied Theories and Finance under PBOC's Financial Research Institute, Director of the CSRCTransaction Department and IT Service Center, GM of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Deputy Director of the PBOC Policy Research Office, Head of the PBOC Non-banking Financial Institutions Supervision Division, and President of the Research Institute of Finance (RIF) under the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Council. He is now Honorary President and research fellow of the DRC-RIF, Counselor of the State Council, and Chairman of the China Chief Economist Forum and Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the China People's Livelihood Research Institute.

Huang Renwei

Born in 1954, Dr. Huang has served successively as Vice President of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), Dean of SASS Research Institute of History and Vice President of the Shanghai Center for International Studies. He is currently Distinguished Research Fellow at the Cross-Strait Research Center under the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, member of the Policy Advisory Expert Group of Shanghai Municipality, Vice President of the Shanghai American Society, Vice President of Shanghai Association for International Studies, Vice President of the Shanghai Taiwan Research Society, Executive Director of the All-China American Economic Association, Director and Executive Director of the All-China American Historical Society, Director of Pudong American Economic Research Center, and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Center for International Studies.

Liang Heng

Born in Shanxi in 1946, being a famous scholar, news theorist and writer, Mr. Liang worked as a journalist with the Inner Mongolia Daily and Guangming Daily, Deputy Director of the GAPP, Executive Director of All-China Journalists Association (ACJC), and Deputy Editor-in-chief of People's Daily. He is currently NPC representative, Ph.D. supervisor with the School of Journalism and Communication at RUC, Invited Director of the ACJC and member of the National Committee of the China Writers Association.

Pan Zhiping

Mr. Pan worked as research fellow of the Institute for Central Asian Studies (ICAS), Director of the Historical and National Research Office, Editor and Deputy Editor-in-chief of the Western Regions Studies Magazine of Xinjiang Social Sciences Periodical Office, and Vice President and President of the ICAS. He is currently President of the ICAS under the Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences.
