"Understanding China-GBA Dialogue" opened on April 19 in Guangzhou with the theme of "Chinese Modernization and New Opportunities for the World".
The third "China in the Eyes of the Young: 'Understanding China' International Short Videos Collection and Exhibition" was launched in Guangzhou Yuexiu International Convention Center on April 18, after the award presentation of the previous event.
On December 14th, 2022, CIIDS Chairman Zheng Bijian had an online meeting with Mr. John Thornton, Chair Emeritus of the Brookings Institution and Co-chair of Asia Society, who is in China on business visit. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on China-US relations as well as enhancing cooperation between CIIDS and US think tanks.
On August 23rd, 2022, Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Mr. Lui Tuck Yew, Ambassador of Singapore to China, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on the China-Singapore relations among other international and regional issues of shared interest.
On November 1, Vice-Chairman Feng Wei virtually attended the “2021 International Symposium on Arctic Navigation Safety and Sustainable Development” and delivered remarks on the behalf of CIIDS.
Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Mr. Denisov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to China, in Beijing, on October 21st, 2021.
Chairman Zheng Bijian met with Mr. John L. Thornton, Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the Brookings Institution, in Beijing, on August 28th, 2021 and had in-depth discussions on China-US relations.
On March 8, China’s Two Sessions·Think Tank & Media Forum on Global Economic Development was held in Beijing. CIIDS Chairman Zheng Bijian, attended the Forum.
